on writing & blogging & having memories & remembering

i have been working through amanda palmer's blog for the last couple of weeks.

i have been reading her thoughts and her thought processes and her records of life over the last 14 years.

and i just......... want that. i want to have a space to be able to put all of my thoughts down. i have lots of thoughts about things. mostly when i have thoughts i either tell them to people, or i tweet them. but tweeting is inhibitive. 140 characters isn't many when you have long complex nuanced thoughts. and multiple tweet chains are just pretty boring after a while.

so i will blog again.

i will talk about the thoughts and opinions that i have.

i will talk about the things i have been doing and the adventures that i have.

so that i remember.

it scares me when i think back to a time and i cannot remember what i did at that time.

so here we are.

it is (looking at the mac) 11:18pm on..... wednesday? august the.......... 16th.

i don't remember what day it is any more.

sometimes i struggle to remember the month.

i don't know if that is worrying.

it's 11:18pm on wednesday august 16th and today i have spent 7 hours replacing photos on AFP blogs from 2012-2013 because photobucket now decided that unless you pay $400 a year you cannot embed images from their website any more.

i am listening to steps on shuffle and spotify has a karaoke album that comes up every now and then and i am learning that i don't know the words to the verses of summer of love as well as i thought i did.

i have also listened to 5 different twin peaks podcasts today. 5 different podcasts all discussing the first 2 episodes of THE RETURN.

i have a lot of thoughts about it.

i am going to write a blog about my thoughts on parts 1 and 2 very soon. i might also write about my thoughts on brooklyn 99 (very good), buffy (even better), life, death, edinburgh fringe. i dunno. i might write about nothing. i might forget about this blog for another 2 years.

we'll see.
